New Jersey State Championship

The team had a very busy weekend! The day after the Connecticut State Championships, we went down to Newark, New Jersey. This was our first time attending a state level event in NJ, and it was quite the experience! We were part of the Parkway Division (as opposed to Turnpike), made up of half of the 46 attending teams. The whole event ran very smoothly, especially considering how large it was. There were no major technical or organizational issues, and matches were fast. It was also great to be able to meet other New Jersey teams, many of which are some of the strongest we have seen all season!

Our robot gave a great performance throughout the day, with a high score for the day of 680 points! We were picked by the Team 3415 "Lancers" (along with team 3774, "Hive Voltage"). We set our edge lit panels to green to match their team color, and were dubbed the "Green Alliance".

Our alliance came out the winner in the Parkway Division, and we faced off against the winners of the Turnpike Division. Sadly, our alliance had some technical issues, and we lost the finals. The event was still a great experience, and we look forward to seeing teams from the event again at the East Super Regional.
